The racing heritage in the Blackstock family goes back several generations. In the early years of NASCAR, Roger's father was teamed up with Benny Parsons. As fate would have it, soon Roger was teamed with Phil Parsons. By 1982 Roger could be found on the Limited Sportsman Circuit until moving up the A.R.C.A. in 1984. He took "The Most Improved Driver" award early in his career and have continued a tradition of excellence both on and off the track. To this day the Blackstock name remains a well respected and recognized name in professional motorsports.
